Life at Bethel

Sunday's

What is Sunday like?

Our service begins at 10:00 am with coffee and a short time of fellowship. The morning service begins at 10:15 am and features upbeat contemporary music, prayer, and an update on events happening in our church and community. Part way through the service children will be invited to go to their own program. The adults remain in the sanctuary while our Pastor shares a message from the Bible. Our Sunday morning service will end around 12:30 pm.

What should I wear?

Please feel free to dress casually and comfortably. Don’t feel pressure to dress like someone else, just be yourself!

Will someone be available to talk or pray with me?

When you arrive on Sunday you will be met by a greeter, who will welcome you and answer any questions you have. If you would like someone to pray with you or if you would like to talk to someone about a personal matter our Pastor or one of our leadership team will be available to help you.

Outreach

We believe in bringing the Church and the message of Jesus Christ to our community. Some examples of this would be our participation in Canada Day festivities at Centennial Park; holding a Sunday summer service in the park; participating in the Christmas Parade. We also encourage our Church to invite their unsaved friends and family to various events such as Forever Changed, a ladies evening out; in home Bible Studies; our Christmas Eve service and other events.

Bethel Youth Group

Our youth program is open to all in our community and surrounding communities. Running Friday evenings from 7:00 pm through the year, youth ages 12 to 18 will have an opportunity to get together for fun, food, games and outings. They will worship God together and God's Truth will be shared in relevant teaching.

Children Ministry

We encourage children to be part of our Church service. You will often see children dancing during our time of worship. The children also stay in our service during communion Sunday's and we encourage parents to talk to their children about it's significance and what Jesus has done for us. Midway through worship the children are dismissed to attend their classes, communicating God's message to them at their level, through Bible lessons, crafts, games and music. Our children's classes always have two leaders who have completed the Plan to Protect course.

Homeward Bound

Homeward Bound is our midweek children's program for ages 5 to 12. It starts in September from 6:30 to 7:45 pm. This program encourages our community children around us to come into the church and also serves as a midweek teaching program for our children. Children will enjoy crafts, games, music, and snacks. All volunteers for this program have completed the Plan to Protect course.

Bible Study

Bethel Church currently runs a Bible Study on some Sunday evenings at 7:00 pm.

Prayer

Bethel meets from September to May on Wednesday nights from 6:45 to 8:00 pm for a time of prayer. We believe prayer is of the utmost importance and encourage all our members to join us.

Other ministries at Bethel include Ladies Nights, Men's Breakfasts and MAK Sunday's (Missions and Kids). Please see our church bulletin and church announcements concerning these ministries.
